Eid ul Adha 2023
Secured Help provided resources for Muslim communities in Niger to celebrate the Eid ul Adha festivities 2023. Our local partners purchased animals for ritual slaughtering and arranged for distribution of meat and other essentials in different villages, often in remote areas.
Secured Help takes great care in ensuring only the best Qurbani is given from our donors to those in need. Your donated Qurbani helps nourish orphans, widows, and to those in need.
This year, the Qurbani in Niger sheep cost was $140, and one Cow share was $80.
Please help us make sure that poor communities in Niger have access to clean water and food.

Change the world, one person at a time
It is amazing what a small group of passionate people can achieve. We work exclusively with volunteers with direct access to individuals in need, so our help gets to them fast and securely.
Our Mission
At any point in time there are people out there, whether far away or next door, who need urgent help.
We are all vulnerable to changing circumstances, but not everyone can count on a support network in difficult times, and this is why the work of non-profit organizations the world over is so important, and a testament that empathy and cooperation can transcend national boundaries, cultures, languages and ideologies. Whether we help our neighbor or an individual thousands of miles away, we are motivated by the same goal: to serve humanity.
This is why our mission is to help families, orphans and children, on a one-on-one basis, with food, clothing, and education.
Naturally, our attention is drawn to the plight of those we perceive as the most vulnerable: people living in some of the poorest countries in the world, and among them, orphans, widows, and the elderly to name a few.
We also try and help those in need who are around us, even though they live in a rich country. After all, anyone could be in difficulties any time, such as due to a medical emergency, the loss of a loved one, or sudden unemployment.
At Secured Help, we believe that all people are deserving of dignity and empathy, so we don’t discriminate among those who need help. Every individual is precious to us.
What we do
Secured Help aims to provide the most basic and urgent needs according to individual’s needs, who roughly grouped as follows:
Families: food, clothing, and education assistance.
Widows and their children: basic survival needs, including monthly rations, clothes, hygiene kits, school fees, books, and other supplies for children.
Newlyweds: several items including dresses, shoes, utensils, bedding, and some financial assistance to offset marriage expenses.
Youth: education programs, games, outings, and camping trips.
Muslim holidays: purchase of cattle for ritual slaughter and distribution of meat to the families.
How we work
We follow three basic principles in order to be most effectively fulfill our mission:
Direct help to individuals: we strive to help people with as few layers in between the donor and the receiver as possible. To do this, we count on the help of individuals on the ground, that have direct, personal access to those we help.
Instead of counting on a network of organizations, we have developed a network of individuals, many of whom with experience working for well established NGOs, who have extensive knowledge of local issues and are familiar with the people we help. This allows us to make sure that help gets where it is most needed.
Only volunteers: most organizations face significant administrative expenses. To minimize this, we work exclusively with volunteers, whether in administrative tasks or field work.
While our volunteers are passionate about the work they do, this creates a trade-off: since we don’t rely on employees, our organization remains extremely lean and, therefore, has limited reach.
On the other hand, by remaining small, we can guarantee that funds reach those in need fast and securely, essential features when dealing with urgent situations.
No overhead: we believe that every dollar donated should be used entirely by those who need, not to cover administrative or any other overhead expenses. Ideally, 100% of every dollar should reach individuals in need.
But the world is not ideal: as a consequence of working only with volunteers, we minimize our costs to extreme levels, aiming to get as close to 100% as possible.
Furthermore, we believe that transparency is essential for our donors to evaluate our work.
